ABOUT US

FutureProofCoding is a computer coding educational program operated by KNG Technologies and Music Loves Math NGO. Joe Ghartey is the founder of  KNG Technologies. Joe graduated from Harvard University in 1995 with a degree in Applied Math and Economics. He worked for 13 years at JP Morgan, where he was a Managing Director and US Head of Equity Derivatives.  Following his career on Wall Street, he spent 5 years producing and writing music. Joe was nominated for 8 Ghana Music and Ghana Music Video Awards and won 2.  Joe created software development start-up Ghartey Curations in 2015, which eventually turned into KNG Technologies in 2019.

Joe Ghartey was raised in Brookline, MA, but moved to Ghana after the 7th grade.  He has maintained strong ties to Ghana throughout his life and in 2010 started Music Loves Math, an educationally focused NGO that operates libraries, educational facilities, and computer coding programs for over 400 children in Ghana.

In 2015, Joe started as a mathematics teacher at MACADEMY School of Science and Technology in Brooklyn, NY.  In 2016, he developed and taught the computer science program for the 2nd-8th grades.  In 2020, with the onset of Covid-19, Joe combined his passions for technology and education in the US and Ghana by implementing a remote computer coding educational program for MACADEMY, which is now taught by instructors out of the KNG Technologies offices in Ghana.  This program became FutureProofCoding.

Joe is an advisor to his uncle Joe Ghartey (same name), who was the youngest Attorney General in ghanaian history, the former Minister of Railways, presidential candidate, and deputy speaker of Parliament.  Joe Ghartey comes from the Ghartey royal family of Winneba, Ghana.
